Description:
The Supervisor of Ambulatory Operations at MacNeal Hospital supervises the daily operations of a clinic. Responsibilities include staff management, general administration, financial activities and project management. The Operations Supervisor position requires a motivated, well-organized, and conscientious individual who is able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Position responsibilities:
Supervises patient/clinic flow including physician schedules, check-in and check- out processes, time of service and payments on account, patient communications, referrals and pre-authorizations.
Coordination and management of workflows and other operational duties
necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Supervises staff including hiring, on-boarding, coaching, counseling and performance reviews, as well as managing day-to-day activities such as payroll, staffing/schedules communications and related activities.
Implements and supports policies and procedures, reviews relevant workflows and metrics and recommends changes as necessary.
Oversees collections activities and offices expenses to meet budget targets.
Assists the Manager with projects including process and operational planning and financial and performance analysis.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Ensures all office equipment is functioning and maintained in an appropriate manner.
Performs all non-clinical duties when needed to ensure efficient patient clinic flow.
Proficient in performing all duties of reporting staff.
Participates in and/ or leads daily safety and capacity huddles.
Promotes a positive and productive environment, encourages teamwork and communication.
Acts as a role model for practice standards related to customer service.
Compiles and maintains a variety of databases.
Works to establish cooperative working relationships with program physicians, nurses, referral sources and ancillary departments as well as hospital administration and related agencies to provide seamless patterns of referral and patient care.

Requirements:
Associate's degree; or high school diploma with 7+ years of applicable work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years of healthcare experience.
Knowledge of revenue cycle requirements.
Leadership or management experience
Organizational skills
