Job Overview

Collaboration in the development of the automation concept for the site. Definition of software architecture as well as conception, further development and implementation of new and existing plant, process, analysis and data management software and their integration into the FSO data landscape (OPC structure)

  • Conceptual and operational implementation of the automation roadmap at the site

  • Conceptual implementation of the software strategy and software architectures in specific modules based on the internal programming principles after negotiating and coordinating program scopes and content with the users and external software developers

  • Definition of the architecture-based internal programming principles

  • Creation of requirement and functional specifications for programs and program modules

  • Creating time and resource plans for the procurement, programming and optimization of programs

  • Development of new software and automation strategies

  • Definition and implementation of release procedures for programs

  • Definition of module packages for internal/external processing

  • Release of software and programs

  • Blocking software in the event of critical errors and security deficiencies

What your background should look like:

  • University degree in computer science (or comparable)

  • At least 3 years of relevant practical work experience in production-related software development

  • Profound knowledge in at least one high-level language (C#, Java or similar) and in object-oriented programming & software design patterns

  • Sound knowledge in the development of client/server applications (e.g. ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, ...)

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, project management and various QA procedures such as DoE, FMEA, SPC and 8D

  • Concentrated and reliable way of working, a clear process orientation and a high understanding of problem solving combined with a strong quality awareness

  • High level of teamwork, flexibility and negotiation skills

  • Very good written and spoken English skills
