Software Engineer (f/m/d)

We are looking for an experienced and talented Software Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the SureSmile Orthodontic treatment planning software and drive systematic implementation of services and components with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write high quality code based on our architecture and technical standards.

  • Provide technical implementations for seamless realization of business needs and features.

  • Dive into source code, realize best practices and provide a high test coverage.

  • Plan own work by creating WBS and estimating effort and time needed for each subtask.

  • Support the product owner in defining epics, writing user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Assist in defining and collaborating on APIs with other teams.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

  • Contribute your own ideas in our agile development process.

  • Write effective code.

  • Identify opportunities to improve code quality, efficiency, and maintainability.

  • Write unit tests to ensure code functionality and maintainability.

  • Ensure unit and integration test coverage.

  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies relevant to the project.

  • Meet deadlines and deliver assigned work to the best of your ability.

Requirements and Qualification :

  • BS or MS in computer science or related engineering disciplines

  • 3+ years as a software developer.

  • History of delivered commercially successful software products.

  • Experience in C++ developments in a large shared code repository.

  • Proficiency in MFC and Ruby-on-Rails as application framework is a beneficial.

  • Skilled in OpenGl or python is considered a strong plus.

  • Familarity with CI/CD (Git/GitHub), Containerization (Docker) and Cloud Computing (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes) are an advantage.

  • Ideally knowledge in TDD/BDD methodologies.

  • Teamplayer with excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken). German is a plus
