What you'll do

Our services are designed and implemented using cutting-edge technologies, especially Kubernetes, and are running at large scale in all major cloud provider infrastructures. With a strong focus on reusability across the BTP HANA & Persistency portfolio, we are fulfilling our responsibility to provide an enterprise-ready unified data and semantics layer that ultimately enables our customers to build mission-critical, scalable, and reliable applications on top of our services.

As a Development Expert and Cloud Network Engineer (f/m/d) you will contribute to improve the availability, scalability, and reliability of the network components of our service infrastructure. You will drive the design, implementation, and high-quality delivery of the solution. If it is necessary, you must respond to incidents and their root cause analysis. You will work in a diverse team that practices agile software development. The team is empowered and self-organized.

What you bring

  • Very good degree in computer science, informatics, business informatics or related areas

  • Strong experience in enterprise network architecture, communication, and protocols

  • Very good experience in cloud network environment, e.g., Load Balancers, NAT-Gateways, Virtual Networks, Service Mesh and Peering

  • Hands-on experience with tools for debugging network traces, e.g., Wireshark

  • Strong experience and interest in container management, i.e., Docker and Kubernetes

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, preferably Python or Golang

  • Very good language skills in English

  • We are looking for a team player with extraordinary soft skills. Experience with GDCH is a plus.
