Web Specialist

Location: Berlin, CT

Its offerings include products and services related to locks, doors, gates, and entrance automation such as controlling access and confirming identities with keys, cards, tags, mobile and biometric identity verification systems, mechanical and digital locks, cylinders, security doors and automated entrances.

The Web Specialist is part of a team responsible for the development and maintenance of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) web sites. Front-end web development, CMS and project management are essential to this role. Your role will span all aspects of the AEM Authoring & Publishing including building pages, templates, components and supporting website/authoring issues. You will work with back-end developers on creating bug/enhancement requests. You must have strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS). The role serves as the liaison to internal stakeholders to ensure an up-to-date design as well as day-to-day operations including updating content.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Accountable for the overall management and maintenance of four web properties along with others on team

  • Creates and maintains web pages; organizes and publishes content and assets in AEM

  • Creates search-optimized content that is relevant to and resonates with target audiences, collaborating with marketing communications, internal creative services and external vendors to develop creative assets and content that delivers strategic messages

  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders, determine and generate requests for new web site functionality, working with development teams to ensure completion

  • Coordinates with dev ops on maintenance and testing of new releases as well as ensuring sites are bug free

  • Analyze web pages to ensure performance to established guidelines, taking action when improvements are required

  • Other duties as assigned

    What we are looking for:

  • Fluency in keyword research and SEO best practices

  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Superior collaboration skills and a desire to work on a cross-functional, agile team

  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment

    Education and/or experience:

  • BA/BS in marketing, communications, or IT / web related field

  • 3+ years of work experience in a content creation, web design or SEO role

  • Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager and Creative Cloud

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and Search Console

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development
