IT Senior Scrum Master (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Our Team
Senior Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating and guiding the scrum team in adopting and implementing the Scrum framework – which includes organizing and leading Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, promoting collaboration and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and values. S/he is a crucial member of the Agile development team responsible for implementing and maintaining the Scrum framework. The primary role is to facilitate the Scrum process, remove obstacles and ensure that the team follows the Agile principles and practices. They work closely with the product owner and development team to plan and execute sprints, daily stand-ups and sprint reviews. Senior Scrum master roles and responsibilities include:
• Creating and maintaining project timelines,
• Identifying and managing risks, and
• Monitoring progress against project goals.
Essential Functions:
- Lead execution & delivery using Agile framework for single or multiple teams.
- Facilitate key agile ceremonies and ensure their efficiency: stand-up, sprint planning, sprint demo, retrospective.
- Interact closely with key stakeholders to ensure vision and strategy serve as the teams’ North Star, and support Product Owners / Business Owners in creating, refreshing and grooming the backlog.
- Remove impediments to ensure self-organized teams can focus on high-value increments.
- Utilize learnings and best practices in furthering the effective use of Agile practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve team-level Agile performance; focus teams on customer value, quality and continuous improvement activities.
- Encourage teams to self-organize, promote accountability, and deliver high quality results.
- Ensure progress toward objectives, KPIs and commitments.
- Practice and encourage Agile mindset and behaviors; coach, inspire and mentor teams on Agile principles, values and practices.
- Be the Servant Leader for teams and support them in defining roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
- Facilitate open communication among team members and stakeholders; promote positive team dynamics to ensure members collaborate and work effectively.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Agile Mindset: Embody Agile core values of openness, courage, respect, focus, and commitment.
- Experience using Agile best practices, i.e., burn-down charts, different retrospective formats, defect management, user stories, etc.
Exceptional facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Adopts a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Experience with JIRA and other Agile methodology tools
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience :
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience as a Scrum Master applying Agile principles and practices
- Detailed understanding and practice of agile methodology and mindset (values and principles)
Licenses & Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Master
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, writing and typing.
- Work involves using a computer and telephone as well as personal communication.

- Work includes researching, analyzing, writing and public speaking.
- This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where multiple competing deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results.
- Occasional overtime may be needed.

Compensation and Benefits
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $122,000.00 to $135,550.00 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
