Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join the F/A-18 Supply Chain team in Berkeley, MO .

The successful candidate would have experience in production and/or manufacturing, with experience collaborating and building relationships with functional and cross-functional partners. Having strong business acumen and the ability to influence and shape risk mitigation strategies with the supply base.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Leads the development of risk mitigation plans and problem resolution for emergent issues impacting the F/A-18 Program.

  • Acts as primary Supply Chain point-of-contact for procurement and business operations on the program.

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.

  • Executes sourcing strategies, major supplier negotiations, and plays a significant role leading program-facing integration.

  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, supply chain health metrics, processes and related tools.

  • Responsible for reporting supplier status to the program

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees from multiple Global Supply Chain & Integration disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of F/A-18, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management processes and supplier diversity

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift: This position is for 1st shift

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of experience leading projects or teams

  • More than 3 years of experience developing and writing contract language; managing supplier relationships; and/or working with supply chain processes or systems

  • Experience negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, and pricing.

  • Experience with critical business and financial acumen to influence and shape strategy

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience interfacing with internal and external senior leadership

  • Experience with or knowledge of Earned Value Management

  • Experience managing complex, large-scale logistics or supply chain management services for a global organization

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel: Position may require travel up to 25% of the time

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $110,500 – $149,500
