Senior Software Developer, Data Integration

What does a successful Senior Software Developer, Data Integration do at Fiserv?

You will find ways to use our software systems, primarily utilize testing software and SQL queries to solve real world problems and offer valuable solutions to our clients, both internal and external. Your will master our current software systems and add new features: maintenance; identify new approaches we can take to improve our software development practice: process improvement; design and build entirely new applications for our platforms for our Card Services technology delivery team.

As a key member of our Data Agile Delivery Team, you will be a result-driven, detail-oriented, and use your experience in QA, Configuration Engineering and Agile Scrum practices. You will participate in the full system development life cycle and utilize agile methodologies pertaining to data analysis.

What you will do:

  • Work effectively under pressure, independently, and within a collaborative team-oriented environment

  • Plan and recommend new solutions as required

  • Develop a deep understanding of appropriate data & software components: conceptual data models, data flows, entity relationships, specifications, audit controls, exception and error handling, security

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and cross-functional delivery team to deliver high-quality solutions that produce the expected business value

  • Create and execute test plans cases based on requirements and design specifications

  • Research and recommend new test tools and techniques

  • Partner with third parties as necessary to deliver end-to-end data analytics solutions

  • Create technical deliverable artifacts needed for implementation

What you will need to have:

  • 6-10+ years of software testing and quality work experience

  • 6-10+ years of experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases and data warehouses

  • 5+ years of experience in agile, scrum practices

  • 3+ years of experience with ETL tools like Informatica

  • 3+ years of experience creating test plans, test cases and test scripts

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience

What would be great to have:

  • Experience in analytics or business intelligence capacity

  • Hands-on experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Tableau

  • Knowledge of industry-standard ETL tools: Informatica, their purpose, and best practices

  • Experience with Snowflake and/or Informatica IDMC

  • Experience with automation for testing, continuous integration, code coverage, and build processes

  • Familiarity with database design, functional scripting or domain-specific programming languages
