Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data solutions that align with the organization's Data AI Strategy.

  • Leverage expertise in Data Architecture Principles and Data Taxonomy to develop comprehensive data models, ensuring seamless data access in Delta Lakehouse.

  • Develop and maintain data integration workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into Databricks and AWS data storage solutions.

  • Design and architect enterprise data warehouses using data vault methodologies with Hubs, Links, and Satellites.

  • Optimize data processing pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, ensuring timely and reliable data availability for analytics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Clinical, and Commercial, to identify and prioritize data product requirements.

  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

  • Develop and implement data governance, unity catalog, policies, and procedures.

  • Implement data security and compliance best practices, ensuring data privacy and adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, pipelines, and processes.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda).

  • Strong experience in data vault methodologies and designing scalable, secure, and performant data architectures.

  • Master proficiency in data sharing processes, data access, and data taxonomy.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and services.

  • Experience in optimizing data processing pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Functional Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Experience in the Pharma or Medical devices domain, with an understanding of industry-specific data needs and regulations.

  • Ability to work in an agile methodology, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, focusing on Databricks and AWS services.

  • Bachelor/Advanced degree in Information Management, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, and Operations Management.

  • Proven ability to design and implement data solutions that align with organizational strategies.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks.

  • Experience in machine learning concepts and frameworks.

  • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, or similar certifications.

  • We are hiring for Berkeley Heights, NJ Location

The exact nature of duties, level of role as well as the salary and compensation package will be commensurate with experience and salary history.
