The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain the company's application portfolio, including web-based and client-server systems.

  • Take a lead in process of integrating new technologies and software applications.

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify software requirements and develop customized solutions that meet their needs.

  • Management of the OG IT applications portfolio throughout the entire lifecycle of each application.

  • Develop and implement data management process for Industry 4.0 data.

  • Implement quality control and monitoring measures to ensure optimal system performance and functionality.

  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and innovations, create means to embrace them within department.

  • Develop knowledge sharing culture for software management, governance, and relevant standards.

You

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar. Lack of formal education can be compensated with experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with strong knowledge from operating software solutions.

  • Experience from enabling machine learning and artificial intelligence is regarded beneficial.

  • Skilled in database management systems and SQL.

  • Experienced in one of the main cloud providers like Azure, Google, and AWS.

  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards like Industry 4.0.

  • Ability to cultivate strong partnerships with Equinor's business units, external partners, and vendors.

  • Have analytical mindset for continuous improvement, identifying opportunities, increase efficiency, waste removal, and cost reduction.

  • Ability to problem solve and an eagerness to learn and develop.

  • Fluency in English, written and oral, Norwegian would be beneficial.
