2nd Shift: 3:30pm-12:00am + $2.50 Shift Differential

Where You Will Work

Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM), a division of Stanley Black & Decker, is a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Engineer to develop, evaluate and enhance manufacturing methods, utilizing hands-on experience and practical manufacturing knowledge to support CNC equipment, laser cutter, double disc grinder, and waterjet technology. This onsite role reports to the Director of Engineering and is located in Berea, OH.

Essential Responsibilities and Skillsets

  • Collect CNC tooling from machines and workstations

  • Change out inserts on cutting tools

  • Organize tool crib and tooling locations, keep fixture locations up to date, and enter the inventory into spreadsheets

  • Alert Supervisors and Team Leads when supplies have hit low limits

  • Experience working with CNC cutting tools is preferred

  • Ability to use a digital caliper and tap measure

  • Ability to use hand tools, including torque wrenches

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work as a team or independently

  • Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required by the position

  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Excel experience preferred

• Experience verifying dimensions of parts, using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, depth gauges, and / or fixed gauges

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to perform basic math – add, subtract, multiply whole numbers, fractions and decimals

• Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement

• Strong attention to detail

• Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge

• Ability to read and understand procedure, routers and instruction

• Blue print reading preferred

• Flexibility in work assignments

• Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change

• Must be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking

• Must be able to handle continuous standing 8-10 hours daily

• Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime as required.

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
