Walmart (USA) Senior, Systems and Infrastructure Engineer in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient individual to join the Walmart Critical Facilities as a Senior Systems and Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks including building automation system management, application management, and change management.

Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.

What you'll do:

Be responsible for administration and implementation of applications used by the Critical Facilities organization. This includes:

  • Onboarding new tools into the environment

  • Upgrading and maintaining existing applications

  • Driving architecture changes to adhere to new technologies, infosec requirements and infrastructure standards

  • Ensuring proper information security practices and requirements are being met

  • Ability to create detailed training instructions and lead application seminars

  • Experience with comprehensive change management

  • Experience with managing contracts and vendors

Preferred Technical Experience:

  • Networking understanding including SNMP, BACnet, ModBus, advanced troubleshooting, and functional knowledge of the OSI model

  • Proficiency in creating network diagrams and understanding network flow and protocols

  • InfoSec understand and experience

  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server and its configurations

  • Experience in API and application integration

  • Knowledge of IAM Federation, LDAP, Kerberos, etc.

  • Understanding of SSL and Keystore installations

Programming Experience (preferred but not required):

  • HTML, JS, CSS, and Chrome Dev Tools

  • Transact SQL, JET SQL

  • Java, JavaScript, PHP, C++, Python

  • PPCL, Ladder Logic

Preferred Tools Knowledge (preferred but not required):

  • Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook

  • GitHub

  • Microsoft Code and Visual Studio

  • Understanding of Enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Jira

  • Back-end operations knowledge of SiteScan, Siemens Desigo, and Power Monitoring Expert

  • Unreal Engine

Project Management Abilities: A successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, including defining project scope, creating schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring timely delivery. Therefore, having strong project management skills, such as planning, organizing, and monitoring, is essential for success in this role.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
