About the Team

The Workforce Planning team for Care Enablement is responsible for generating accurate labor allocations and schedules for more than 20,000 agents and partners. We manage the planning and allocation of resources necessary to handle customer and associate interactions from 4,600 stores nationwide and more than 265 million online orders annually. Accurate forecasting and labor allocation are crucial to ensuring that we meet customer expectations and maintain high service standards across both our physical and digital platforms.

This individual will report to our Vice President, Care Business Enablement. This position is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package is available, but we are not considering remote candidates at this time.

What you will do...

  • Workforce Forecasting: Lead the development of accurate workforce forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends, and projected business needs, ensuring optimal staffing levels across customer and associate service operations.

  • Resource Allocation: Manage and oversee labor allocation for more than 20,000 agents, ensuring that resources are effectively distributed to meet demand across physical stores and digital platforms.

  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of workforce planning strategies, making data-driven adjustments as necessary to maintain service standards.

  • Stakeholder Management & Alignment: Engage with key stakeholders, including operational partners, to drive alignment on workforce planning strategies, ensuring that resource allocation supports business objectives and enhances overall operational efficiency.

  • Financial Leverage: Collaborate with finance teams to align workforce planning with financial commitments, driving cost efficiency and maximizing leverage through effective labor management.

  • Operational Execution: Provide detailed plans and actionable insights to operations teams, ensuring they have the necessary information to execute workforce strategies effectively and maintain optimal service levels.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of workforce planning, leveraging technology and data analytics to optimize labor costs while maintaining high service levels.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of workforce planners, fostering a collaborative environment and providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals and drive overall success.

What you bring...

  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques and tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization software) to interpret complex datasets and drive strategic decisions.

  • Experience with Workforce Management Software: Familiarity with industry-standard workforce management and forecasting tools, such as NICE, Verint, or similar platforms.

  • Project Management Experience: Proven ability to manage and execute projects related to workforce planning, including experience with project management methodologies and tools.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with the ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

  • Customer Service Insight: Understanding of customer service operations and metrics, providing valuable context for workforce planning decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively across departments and functions, particularly in coordinating with operational and financial teams.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about workforce planning and its impact on broader business goals, including a focus on long-term planning and scalability.

  • Change Management: Experience with change management principles and practices to effectively implement new processes or adjustments to existing strategies.

  • Knowledge of Retail Operations: Familiarity with retail operations and the specific challenges related to staffing and resource management in a retail context.

  • Team Building: Demonstrated success in building and leading teams, including experience in mentoring, and developing team members to achieve high performance.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
