About the Team/Position

As a Principal, Data Analyst at Walmart, you'll work with vast amounts of data, using your skills in talent analytics to create and manage data models. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you'll help solve complex challenges and contribute to self-service reporting and analytical products. Our goal is to make data-driven decisions in recruitment, optimizing hiring strategies, improving candidate experiences, and aligning hiring with business objectives . Our Talent Analytics team is dedicated to creating efficient data models for recruitment initiatives and enabling self-service reporting and analytics. We aim to enhance recruitment processes and drive strategic talent acquisition decisions.

You'll make an impact by:

• Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.

• Expertly using advanced-level calculations on the data set.

• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and user-friendly dashboards using Power BI and Looker.

• Leveraging a range of statistical models, from traditional regression techniques like linear and logistic regression to advanced machine learning methods such as random forests, gradient boosting, to uncover patterns, trends in data.

• Demonstrating knowledge and experience in managing data quality. This includes the ability to create validation tests, detect anomalies, and develop strategies to ensure and enhance data integrity.

• Deploying expert analytics skills to create visually compelling data stories and meaningful insights.

• Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills across variety of stakeholders with an ability to negotiate with and influence others.

• Working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner.

• Providing skills training to business users.

• Acting as a strategic consultant, adept at translating complex business questions into clear data analysis projects .

You'll sweep us off our feet if you:

• Have at least 4+ years of experience in evaluating and advising on logical and physical data models to ensure optimal performance for Power BI and data frames for advanced analytics.

• Can analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions .

• Have proficiency in handling large-scale data lakes using platforms like Google Big Query and Azure.

• Can validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.

• Possess extensive experience using SQL/Python for ETL processes, including data preparation, automation, and analysis.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
