Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Join our team as a Senior Manager of Data Analytics for our Merchandising Transformation team! You will lead data-driven product buildout and launch to transform our merchandising user experiences. You'll leverage advanced analytics, data visualization, and data quality management to drive user insights and influence product development. Your expertise will help shape Walmart's assortment financial strategy and ensure users meet their business objectives effectively.

What You'll Do...

• Data Source Identification: You'll leverage your knowledge of functional business domains, database technologies, and data quality to identify the most suitable data sources and perform initial data quality checks.

• Tech Problem Formulation: You'll translate business problems into data-related or mathematical solutions using advanced analytics and big data techniques.

• Data Visualization: You'll identify and recommend suitable visualization tools, generate graphical representations of data, and build compelling stories to present to and influence diverse audiences.

• Data Strategy: You'll apply principles of the defined data strategy to solve complex business problems and unlock the monetary value of data assets.

• Data Quality Management: You'll promote data quality awareness, profile and assess data quality, manage operational data quality procedures, and educate others on data governance processes.

• Understanding Business Context: You'll evaluate business cases, translate business requirements into strategies and initiatives, and mentor team members on new business insights.

• Exploratory Data Analysis: You'll conduct statistical analysis, use data discovery tools to identify patterns and trends, and assist in the planning and implementation of exploratory data analysis projects.

• Have extensive experience in data analytics, preferably in a merchandising or retail environment.

• Possess strong analytical skills and are proficient in data source identification, tech problem formulation, and data visualization.

• Have excellent communication skills and can influence and persuade diverse audiences.

• Are skilled in data strategy, data quality management, and understanding business context.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

1 year's supervisory experience.
