Walmart Senior Analyst, People Services Generalist (Unemployment Hearings Support) in Bentonville, Arkansas
Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As an Appeals Manager, you will be an integral member of the Unemployment Services Hearing Support team. You will review, research, and analyze employment documentation and state statutes regarding former employees. Based on this documentation, you will appeal initial determinations. Once the case is scheduled for a hearing, you will create hearing packets that are organized in a logical order to explain the detailed events related to employment status changes.
What You’ll Do:
Provide direct support to Walmart Unemployment Services and stores by managing the entire appeals process, including filing appeals and preparing witnesses to testify, ensuring a thorough and strategic approach to defending unemployment appeals.
Provide continuous improvement recommendations for initial claims process and hearing support functions based on learnings and insights.
Review and analyze the determination letter to appeal decisions based on separation and chargeability.
Review and analyze state statutory guidance and prepare appeal packets.
Prepare and submit relevant documentation central to the appeal to the state utilizing each state guidelines for submission of evidence.
Identify and label relevant portions of documentation.
Identify the issues to be addressed at the hearing.
Compile evidence and label exhibits to submit to judge, claimant, and company representatives.
Prepare witness testimony by providing responses to essential questions.
Review the completed packet with the witness during a prep call and ensure they understand and can effectively testify for each exhibit.
Pull hearing decisions for cases worked to collect data to improve the hearing process.
Attend procedural hearings as needed.
What You'll Bring:
Extensive experience working in case or claims management.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment with the ability to meet productivity requirements.
Strong customer service experience and focus with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time, think critically, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities and systems.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt and pivot.
An independent thinker and team player mindset.
Exposure to court files and documents strongly preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $50,000.00-$95,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office., Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, or related area and 2 years' experience in business, human resources, information technology, or related area.
