Job Title: Mobile Technician

Job Description

The main function of a Mobile Technician is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment on all systems across multiple facilities. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations, and be multi-skilled in others.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.

• Travel between multiple facilities ensuring their proper function.

• Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.

• Maintain the equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to ensure the HVAC systems and associated equipment operate at optimum performance levels.

• Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.

• Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and maintain a clean and safe workplace.

• Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.

• Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.

• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping, and ensuring the safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for building control systems.

• Knowledge of safety protocols and hazardous materials management.

• Effective communication skills for documentation and reporting.

• Inventory management and purchasing experience.

• Ability to recognize and address safety hazards.

• Capability to perform manual tasks and travel between facilities.
