Walmart Director, Automation Engineering in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

Introduction

In this role on the Fulfillment Automation team, you will be at the leading edge of technology, developing automation solutions that will give Walmart a competitive edge. You will report to the Senior Director, Automation Engineering. This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package is available, but we are not considering remote candidates at this time.

What you'll do...

  • Bring a Visionary Mindset: You will be challenged to think big and motivate your team to drive innovation.

  • Leadership: Influence across large cross functional teams, ensuring common prioritization and goals for key initiatives.

  • Strategy: Identify, scope, and develop plans and new capabilities to use across the Network. Develop and integrate network wide technology building blocks for projects.

  • Vendor Management : You will develop solutions with our suppliers and hold them accountable to achieving KPIs and program goals to meet the timeline and budget of each initiative.

  • Continuous Improvements: You will develop methods for system improvements, establishing process controls, and leading change management for automation.

  • Engineering Economics : You will advise on a variety of financial tools, techniques, and approaches and help build business cases.

  • Standards : You will benchmark across the industry to include best practices and drive continuous improvement. Additionally, establish and maintain system development standards.

  • Sustainability : Identify opportunities for Walmart to move to more sustainable packaging

What you'll bring...

  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Bachelor's degree

  • Experience designing automation solutions

  • Financial Acumen; ability to develop a business case to justify projects

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 5 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. Option 2: 7

years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.

3 years' supervisory experience.
