The team you will be a part of

The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for keeping the appropriate levels of materials and/or stock supplies with the aim to maximize inventory control and company sales. Organizes deliveries to meet given deadlines and customer expectations. Supervises and tracks the flow of materials and products from suppliers throughout the organization.

This role in summary

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst, Supply & Logistics role to join our Planning Organization. As a Senior Analyst in the Inventory Management group, you will be a major contributor in the Product Fulfillment Team (PFT). You will be responsible for managing inventory and distribution out of our Factory Distribution Centers (FDC), ensuring inventory is positioned at the right locations at the right time, and providing analysis and solutions to In-Stock / Availability issues in the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) network. Your workweek would be a cadence of data analysis, communications, reporting of key metrics, and project work. You will also build strong relationships with cross-functional process partners (Merchandising, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Warehouse Operations, and Transportation) and support them in driving and delivering results.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Manage the deployment plan for the FDC and provide future weeks throughput to assist in acquiring labor / transportation.

  • Ensure the deployment plan is actively executed every day and any constraints are resolved and/or escalated

  • Complete root cause analysis when In-Stock / Availability issues arise to provide better input for the FDC/RDC network.

  • Actively engage with and be a key process partner in the Product Fulfillment Team (PFT) by providing analysis and recommendations to drive better inventory decisions, and proactively communicating key issues disrupting operations.

  • Develop an understanding of Whirlpool’s current Supply Chain business processes to continuously improve the inputs to our systems.

  • Use available tools and data to provide analysis to process partners in order to take action for resolution of inventory issues.

  • Work with cross-functional teams from many departments within and outside of Whirlpool’s Integrated Supply Chain organization.

  • Subject matter expert (SME) that analysts can come to for direction on standard processes.

  • Actively engage in key project work within the Inventory Management team by analyzing data, providing communications, and participating with the project teams.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business

  • 2+ years of experience in Inventory, Supply Planning, Forecasting, Manufacturing, Procurement, Order Management, Materials or Logistics

Preferred skills and experiences

  • B.S. in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business or related field, or relevant work history.

  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain concepts.

  • Proven analytical and decision making skills.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with business partners at various levels.

  • Ability to manage through or escalate issues

  • Ability to motivate self and lead by example and influence as a thought leader to both direct and indirect teams

  • Ability to align your work to function, vision, and strategy

  • Ability to influence others to effectively support projects/initiatives

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting

  • Demonstrated critical thinking, ability to problem solve and resourcefulness at seeking resolution

  • Basic understanding of Continuous Improvement tools & methodologies

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP), Supply Chain systems, tools and applications preferred.
