About the Center for Wellness

The Center offers a variety of services that includes health screenings and education, personal protective equipment (PPE), mental health, social navigation services, and other forms of support at a location easily accessible to residents of Benton Harbor and Benton Heights.

About Corewell Health South Hospitals

The health system comprises three hospitals, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation centers, two long-term care residences, home care and hospice services, and 34 affiliate physician practice locations. We p rovide both inpatient and outpatient medical services throughout S outhwest Michigan .

Scope of Work

Participates in assessing community and program participant needs, planning, evaluation, implementing and revising educational programs, curriculum, and related materials. Assists in developing course or training program content on health and nutritional topics. Conducts training. Facilitates and supports learning opportunities for the organization and the community. Serves as a liaison between the program, health care professionals and community. Works as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team coordinating the educational activities with other team members. Uses evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of training. Participates in maintaining records regarding educational programs.

Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in health related field

  • Preferred Master's Degree

  • 3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting including education and program planning. Required

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish, both oral and written, is required as designated by specific Grant programs. For Corewell Health South, the requirement is preferred. Required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

  • CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire preferred
