ITS Technologies & Logistics Assistant Ramp Manager in Benicia, California

We take pride in consistently delivering superior and reliable service, a broad scope of services and an exemplary safety record. We’re currently seeking an Assistant Ramp Manager to join our team. The Assistant Ramp Manager will assist in leading a complex operation (7 direct reports & 110 employees) focused on safety, administration, maintenance, train performance and productivity.

The Assistant Ramp Manager is a hands-on supervisor that services the needs of the customer while ensuring the safety of the terminal, and maintaining high productivity. Responsible for ensuring that ConGlobal meets the customer’s scheduling requirements with on-time spot & release of trains, and timely grounding of autos. Manages the workforce to meet customer needs as well as profitability goals. Expected to work in a fast-paced environment where using superior management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

Assistant R amp Manager

  • Responsible for assisting in overseeing ramp operations including: safety, administration, maintenance, and productivity

  • Responsible for the training and orientation of all employees and ensures that every employee has the necessary knowledge, skills and ability to perform each task assigned

  • Responsible for problem solving with local railroad officers

  • Responsible for assisting in the staffing of all ramp employees

  • Enforces and upholds all ConGlobal rules, regulations and policies, issues all disciplinary action

  • Reviews weekly time and attendance and ensures data is accurate and entered timely'

  • Responsible for all administrative tasks related to ramp management

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of previous management experience

  • Must have exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills

  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in intermodal, transportation, logistics or warehousing operations

  • Strong Work Ethic

  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions

  • Previous Rail, Intermodal OR Auto highly desirable
