Position Overview

Our Developers bring passion, craftsmanship, and innovation to the development and delivery of Intelex’s software products, to delight our customers and empower them with industry-leading capabilities and UX. They collaborate with their peers within an agile (Scrum / Kanban) practice. Our team is moving toward a continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) model and DevOps as a culture. We work with a range of Microsoft technologies (C#, Azure, .NET, SQL) including JavaScript frameworks like (ReactJS /Node JS/ Typescript/Webpack) as well.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Work closely with the Dev Manager and Product Manager to break down business requirements into work items within a development team's scope.

• Proactively identify gaps in technology, process, product, and team workflow and act independently to coordinate work to solve these problems within their team.

• Coach and mentor their team members and actively participate in their professional development.

• Design and develop new features supporting customer use cases in existing and new software products.

• Work in an agile team environment that practices continuous improvement when planning, estimating, and building software.

• Deliver sprint commitments by working proactively with stakeholders to identify and navigate obstacles.

• Build high-performing software with an evolving set of tools across several technology stacks and participate in the stewardship of our development process.

• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams including Architects, QA, Product Management, and others to delight our clients.

Technical Competencies

• Full stack development across different technical stacks with expertise in React, Node.js, Javascript, HTML, CSS, .NET, etc., and understanding their strengths, and weaknesses.

• Experience in building reusable, maintainable, and efficient React components and front-end libraries for future use.

• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS or equivalent.

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

• Extensive experience with concepts and building blocks of large-scale applications including messaging systems, load balancing, and microservice architecture.

• Extensive experience designing and documenting architectural specifications.

• Experience with automated pipelines, Docker containers, and cloud orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Ability to identify risks & limitations, prepare a mitigation plan, and encourage ownership & accountability.

• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and their implementation within existing software products and infrastructure.

Experience

• 8 or more years of professional web application development experience.

• Professional experience within agile development practice is strongly preferred.

• Professional experience within an enterprise software product or SaaS organization is strongly preferred.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

• Master’s Degree and/or vendor certifications (such as Microsoft Certified Professional) valued.
