Oracle Technical Writer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Oracle Health & Life Sciences is looking for a motivated technical writer who is passionate about user assistance development and improving the healthcare experience for our customers and their patients. As an Oracle Health & Life Sciences technical writer, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise and departmental user assistance materials that will be used by clinicians, system administrators, and other Oracle employees. Your responsibilities will include developing user interface labeling, user help, implementation and configuration documentation, and release text.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate discussions with internal teams on the timely delivery of user assistance deliverables.

  • Mentor others on user assistance and documentation processes, standards, and best practice with the ability to influence at the team level.

  • Participate in complex, highly visible user assistance development initiatives.

  • Author, publish, and maintain original content, review the content authored by peers, and help them identify defects early in the documentation cycle.

  • Evaluate engineering projects and their customer impact to define user assistance materials requirements, facilitate reviews with subject matter experts, and consult with testing partners or other customers.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex documentation and recommend the best approach to customer-facing documentation.

  • Manage the complete user assistance workflow; edit and review various forms of documentation for quality as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including a bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Instructional Design, or another related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Proven ability to think critically, solve problems, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.

  • Enthusiastic about information design and knowledgeable about current trends and technologies in the field.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Expectations:

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and customer assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Successful completion of a writing assessment conducted during the interview process.
