We are seeking an experienced Professional Services Manager {Software Development (Application)} to lead the charge on this mission. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and real-world experience distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most importantly, you will be integral to helping us build better products that people love to use.

You will drive success in a multi-disciplinary team and operate in a matrix environment. You will oversee external customer projects from initiation through to completion. You will play an active role in defining consulting strategies which maximize a customer’s return on investment and accelerate adoption with current and future Autodesk solutions.

Location : Bengaluru, IN (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, documentation and support of high quality, reliable applications to meet the business needs

  • Collaborate with the business to identify new business requirements and lead the technology team to deliver those requirements

  • Partner with the other application development teams to provide front to back solutions that benefit our customers

  • Having an oversight responsibility for the related Technologies teams in Enterprise Consulting

  • Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • Extensive experience with application development using the latest technology stack for a service-oriented architecture and deep understanding of data models with a view on application of these technologies

  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and negotiations skills

  • Highly efficient in defining and meeting SLAs in order to satisfy and meet aggressive project timelines, and critical spontaneous requests

  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written; articulate; must be able to communicate effectively with business executives

  • Strong experience putting together and delivering both business and technical presentations Business focused; results oriented Excellent team building skills Strong leader; leads by example

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Must be skilled at Project Risk Management (Identification, Tracking, prevention / handling)

People Leadership

  • Leads and manages a team of Developers (Front End, Backend), QA & Automation Developer

  • Manages measurable criteria for success and to assist in building organizational alignment

  • Creates and maintain staffing plan to support the current and future work demands and project deliverables

Results Leadership

  • Oversees strategic roadmap with Global Delivery Hub to ensure the successful and broad adoption of Autodesk solutions

  • Builds business plans in collaboration with senior management to align customer and Autodesk objectives

  • Ensures the team delivers services to customers

Thought Leadership

  • Enables team to establish and maintain excellent collaboration with the wider Enterprise Customer Success

  • Encourages the team to be innovative

Technical Leadership

  • Maintain a competent level of technical expertise to work effectively with team members and the broader Autodesk technical community

  • Keep abreast of technology industry trends, solutions, standards and methodologies

  • Maintain awareness of relevant development efforts in other organizations within Autodesk. Calibrate project plans and execution where appropriate

  • Proactively engage with customers and Autodesk stakeholders to stay on top of project requirements

  • Identify potential new product solutions that the market will embrace

  • Determine/champion use of common/inner source components vs. building duplicate functionality

  • (May) Make or help with buy versus build decisions

Personal Leadership

  • Adapts to and leads change

  • Coaches the team in the acceptance and support of change

Performance Management

  • Manage and monitor team’s performance to ensure successful project completion according to agree upon goals by fostering effective communications with team members for status updates and issue reporting

  • Identifying, anticipating, and tackling technical issues - applies well rounded judgment decisions by considering trade-offs and risk mitigation option, identifying and removing blockers to ensure delivery of project, working with key stakeholders to make project plan course corrections

Minimum Qualification

  • 12+ years of technical leadership experience in technology, preferably in Financial Services out of which 8 + years product management experience with 5 + years of experience on software and/or developer platforms

  • Experience managing delivery of at least 1 hardware/software product/service

  • Experience managing and overseeing multiple on-going initiatives simultaneously

  • Cross-functional communication and collaboration experience

  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)

  • Experience in plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product

  • Experience in develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by the agile teams

  • Deep knowledge in assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy

  • Experience in serve as the product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Scala

  • Experience with big data tools such as PySpark

  • Experience with relational SQL databases

  • Experience with AWS cloud services used often for data engineering including S3, EC2, Glue, Lambda, RDS, or Redshift

  • Experience working with APIs to pull and push data.

  • Advanced working SQL experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) and working familiarity with a variety of databases.

  • Experience optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Experience deploying technology or services with large enterprise or global customers and the desire for continuous learning and growth

  • Expert knowledge of systems & platform, cloud native and microservices architecture, design principles and technologies

  • Demonstrable deep experience in rethinking/reimagining existing service/application architecture as it is migrated to cloud. This includes services de-composition, security, leveraging native services, resiliency and observability.

  • Deep understanding and experience in one of the public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) native services

  • Experience with delivery of cloud infrastructure automation, DevOps and CI/CD

  • Having lead a team of AI/ ML engineers will be an added advantage
