GE Aerospace Staff Enterprise Application Engineer in Bengaluru, India

Job Description Summary

Responsible for implementing and enhancing Oracle VCP applications like Oracle ASCP and Demantra. Will work independently and contribute to the priorities of the Oracle VCP applications. Will partner with Enterprise Architect in design discussions. Will work across multiple functional and technical domains. Responsible for owning a large or multiple components of a domain, product, program, or a pod.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate requests for enhancements and determine potential impacts with the current system design/configuration using Oracle ASCP and EBS.

  • Code complex/integrated customizations and/or solutions using PL/SQL procedures and packages, Unix Shell Scripts, Oracle OBIEE.

  • Configure ASCP, Demantra and EBS modules (as needed).

  • Provide support and maintenance of existing customizations and application functionality. Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions

  • Partner with company’s supply planning business team and other functional teams in Supply Chain to understand business problems, define requirements, perform development and testing in multiple instances, conduct UAT.

  • Attend CAB processes and meetings to migrate enhancements to PROD. Monitor programs, interfaces using APPWORX chains and create new ones

  • Develop technical documents like CF250/MD50/MD70 and collaborate/guide other development team members

  • Knowledge of Oracle ASCP and other Oracle eBS modules like Inventory, Order Management, Purchasing, BOM, WIP etc. is required. Knowledge of APPworx and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Oracle fusion SaaS and PaaS products is a plus.

  • Contribute to the development of project and data delivery platforms with reusable components across teams that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.

  • Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.

  • Analyze, design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.

  • Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team.

  • Participates in the enterprise architecture domain governance model.

  • Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support actives.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM- Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience of at least 6 + years on Oracle ASCP, eBS and Oracle Demantra module

  • Defines strategy and design of unit and integration test suite.

  • Reviews and updates the enterprise application coding standards including security and performance guidelines.

  • Demonstrates deep expertise in traditional and upcoming technologies, programming languages, and technical approaches relevant to the enterprise application.

  • Coaches the Enterprise Application Engineers and junior team members on technical topics.
