Job Summary:

The Sr. Specialist, D&T, SAP Master Data is accountable for maintaining master data across various domains such as customer, material, and vendor masters; and across various systems like SAP and non-SAP systems. This position requires experience and focus on data quality and data cleansing with a strong understanding of production-related master data. You will leverage your SAP knowledge and the tools (Jira/SharePoint) and by working with end users to ensure that master data is accurate, cleansed, and harmonized. You will also be responsible for end user support and training on master data and supporting processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day requests of master data changes and ensure data is setup accurately, completely and in a timely manner.

• Responsible for creation, maintenance, cleansing, and rationalization of data globally across various functional areas like sales & marketing, finance, quality/regulatory, planning, production, and purchasing.

• Collaborate with other regions-based Data Governance team to execute on cleansing and harmonization of master data across all ERP systems current and future; plan activities and report status.

• Be the data expert and support technical team(s) from time to time in enablement of master data governance capabilities, analytics, and reports.

• Work with SAP functional team on new design; determine impact to master data elements and perform necessary updates.

• Assists in developing standards, guidelines, and processes to consistently address master data issues and improve data quality.

• Support project activities relating to master data from time to time, including but not limited to preparing and loading master data.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Systems

• 5-8 years of experience in SAP (master data, implementation, or support)

• Extensive experience with maintaining SAP Master Data objects like Customer, Vendor, Material, Info Records and other dependent master data.

• Working experience with an MDM application

Preferred but not required: S/4 HANA and/or Jira, SharePoint forms experience, Agile & Scrum certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Sound understanding of the SAP business processes in the areas of Sales and Purchasing is preferred.

• Expert is using various tools to support and coordinate mass data changes on an as need basis.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

• Ability to analyze complex, abstract issues in a logical, structured way.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels in the organization.

• Broad experience desired, but not essential, in areas, such as data governance, data architecture, data integration, data classification, data strategy, data quality management, data security and privacy, MDM, data standards, regulatory compliance, and enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative and collaborative.

• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude. Extremely conscientious and detail oriented.

• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.

• Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization.
