Responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software applications & services. Responsible for software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Capture system level requirements by working closely with Tech leads, Program/Project Managers and Product Owners

• Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimates and justify the estimate with facts

• Maintain and drive code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation; Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project; Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules.

• Be an expert in assessing NFRs (performance, load, scalability etc.) for the application and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices

• Develop expertise and own individual module design while also understanding the overall product

• Seek and provide feedback on design and development

• Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment

• Possess advanced domain knowledge and show great customer focus. Expert in processes / methodologies and Skilled in build, release & deployment processes

• Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

• Overall 3-4 Years of experience in software development in Enterprise Application Development

Essentials Skills:

• Good knowledge of UI Design and Development, with knowledge of Android Development or Flutter or React Native. Good experience in mobile development

• Experience with offline capabilities in mobile applications a BIG plus.

• Good knowledge of debugging tools to address performance and reliability bottlenecks

• Good knowledge in unit testing using JUnit and mock frameworks.

• Experience in Agile development practices: Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).

Desired Characteristics:

• Good knowledge of middleware like GraphQL, Apollo server/client

• Good knowledge of AWS Cloud Design and Development (AWS certification is a plus).

• Good knowledge of Microservices design and development

• Experience in Java, Spring boot, Rest APIs, Hibernate

• Experience in DB Design (Oracle, PostGres, MongoDB)

• Good problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments

• Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions

• Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks.

• Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team.

• Displays understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer.

• Learns organization vision statement and decision making framework. Able to understand how team and personal goals/objectives contribute to the organization vision
