Oracle Software Development Manager in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Oracle Communications enables service providers and enterprises to rapidly deliver and monetize digital lifestyle services, build world-class customer experiences, and streamline operations. This position is for the BRM (Billing and Revenue Management division) in CGIU.

This is a Development Manager position to lead the CGIU Monetization BRM Server Engineering team, managing development engineers as well as Quality engineers. Key responsibilities of the manager include - delivering roadmap items, collaborating with Product owners, managing scrum as well as sprints, participating in technical solution discussions, engaging with integrating product teams. In addition to technical management, Development manager is also required to manage, coach and guide team members. Engage and motivate teams in delivering organization goals. Manager should demonstrate diversity and employee well being.

Experience/Educational Requirements:

• 4-year Bachelor's degree (B.E/B.Tech) required. Higher education in Computer Science preferred

• 10+ years of software engineering(development) experience

• 3+ years of experience recruiting, managing and coaching high quality software engineering teams

• Experience in a leadership role, with demonstrated success in building and establishing a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Collaborate seamlessly with distributed development teams in multiple locations, Product Management, Release Engg and Program managers

• A deep understanding of software development in a team environment, and a track record of shipping software on time is required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

Domain experience in Telecom Billing is an added advantage

Responsibilities

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
