Job Description
We are seeking a Software Developer (IC3) with 4 - 8 years of relevant experience in UI technologies to contribute in our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team. In this role, you will work independently on well-defined tasks, implementing improvements to existing features and contributing new functionality to the web interface for OCI customers. You’ll write clear, maintainable code, collaborate on design efforts. This position is ideal for a developer with a foundational knowledge of cloud-based systems who’s looking to grow in a supportive, fast-paced environment. You will receive guidance on critical topics such as prioritization, testing, and operational best practices, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while expanding your expertise.
Expertise and experience developing web applications using React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, Webpack, CSS is required. Experience with Preact.js/React.js, CI/CD tools and interfacing with JSON REST APIs are also required. Experience with container-based deployment (e.g. Docker). Familiarity with designing and implementing form-factor independent UI. Working experience within a Linux-based environment will be desirable.
This individual should be highly organized, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work independently, as well as work with project managers and peers to understand requirements, document designs, and build and unit test software components.

Responsibilities
As a Senior UX/UI Engineer , you will work on UI projects for new features & products developed by the Console organization, create components for other UX/UI Engineers to use in their UIs and participate in all stages of product development. This includes collaborating with product management, partnering with other service teams, and working closely with design, documentation, engineering, and QA to define, design, develop, and release the right products and features for the right people at the right time.
From a technology perspective, this is a greenfield development environment offering significant autonomy, allowing us to build and innovate without the constraints of legacy products and services. We utilize a React & Redux stack and communicate with other services through well-defined, RESTful interfaces.
The following are some of the day-to-day responsibilities within the Team:
Attending daily/weekly scrum ceremonies.
Helping to define/triage/estimate work in the backlog.
Write UI code according to UX Design Specs
Write Unit and Functional test code to test the UI code he and others have written
Fix Defects and participate in Bug Bashes
Participate in the code review process, validating the implementation and providing feedback
Breaking down work for the rest of the team in the form of Stories in the backlog
Leading other members of the team in the accomplishment of the work in the backlog
Assist and mentor other members of the team
