Oracle Software Developer 3 in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

  • 4-7+ years of experience in supporting BMDI/MDI Device Integration preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and IT teams to integrate medical devices with hospital information systems (HIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and other clinical systems.

  • Ensure seamless connectivity between medical devices (e.g., patient monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps) and middleware platforms.

  • Perform device discovery, data extraction, and mapping to clinical systems.

  • Configure and optimize device integration solutions to meet healthcare facility requirements.

  • Work with middleware platforms like Capsule, Cerner CareAware, Philips IntelliBridge, etc.

  • Develop and maintain device interface configurations (e.g., HL7, FHIR, DICOM, proprietary protocols).

  • Provide 24x7 support for medical device connectivity issues.

  • Analyze data flow and troubleshoot issues related to device integration, network connectivity, and data accuracy.

  • Work with vendors to resolve hardware/software compatibility issues.

  • Develop and maintain device interface configurations (e.g., HL7, FHIR, DICOM, proprietary protocols).

  • Work closely with clinical and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and develop integration plans.

  • Document workflows, processes, and integration specifications for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and deliverables with vendors and hospital teams.

  • Lead or support Device Integration projects, system upgrades, and new module rollouts within the hospital.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including clinicians and administrative staff, to deliver successful project outcomes.

  • Develop and execute robust testing protocols, including integration and user acceptance testing.

  • Provide training to end-users, clinical staff, and IT teams on integrated medical device workflows.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user manuals.

  • Stay updated with emerging medical device technologies and industry trends.

  • Recommend enhancements to improve integration efficiency and device performance.

  • Participate in proof-of-concept (PoC) evaluations for new device integration solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience in integrating various medical devices such as: Patient monitors, Ventilators, Infusion pumps, Anesthesia machines, and laboratory analyzers.

  • Experience with device communication protocols:HL7, FHIR, DICOM.

  • Experience integrating medical devices with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) such as Oracle Cerner and Picture Archiving & Communication Systems (PACS) for imaging devices.

  • Experience with end-to-end implementation of medical device integration projects, including Gathering requirements from clinical stakeholders, device compatibility checks, creating integration roadmaps, and managing deployment timelines and Post-go-live support and optimization of workflows.
