Job Description Summary

In this role, you will be responsible to meet with the design team to discuss application features, create application mock-ups, design and program a component, feature and or feature set. In addition, you will focus on activities to improve software quality and development methodologies.

You will be expected to work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Interact with Product teams, UX, Application and Integration teams to map business requirements to domain requirements and design qualities such as reliability, high performance, intuitive, security, reusability, testability etc.

• Analyse, design and develop a high-quality application/module supporting multiple browsers like chrome, safari, Mozilla, Edge, IE11 etc and supporting Web and mobile applications with enhanced UI features.

• Support the development teams on all levels with the right design of all layers and assist the scrum teams in implementing the taken decisions such as appropriate technology, tools, solutions, workflow, coding standards etc.

• Conduct live application tests and tweaks.

• Update web applications in line with user trends.

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7

• Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision

• Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards

• Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans

• Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse

• Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities

• Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables

• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products

• Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results

• Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge

• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance

• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen

• Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Education Qualification

· Bachelor’s degree (master preferred) in computer science or related field.

· 7+ years of experience in software development.

Technical Expertise:

Must Have Skills:

· In-depth knowledge of user interface models, application design, website functionality

· 7+ years of expirence in building UI applications in Angular, React JS, Java script, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, etc.

· Experience in Micro-frontend, Web Components, Experience using CSS tools and frameworks such as Bootstrap and Semantic UI

· Experience in backend programming languages like Go, Python, Node

· Good knowledge in delivering standard, compliant (W3C, XHTML) and accessible (WCAG, 508)

websites.

· Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design and Software Design Patterns

· Solid Experience building applications on cloud (AWS / Azure) using Java, GoLang with a strong understanding of Kubernetes and Docker

· Strong knowledge on Java, Go, Spring boot (hands on), micro services, API development, Unit testing, BDD, API testing, Git Docker, Kubernetes(hands on)

· Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP etc.)

Preferred skills:

· Experience and best practices for designing, publishing, documenting, analysing, and managing APIs to drive consumption, collaboration, and internal/external reuse.

· Understanding of CI/CD build environment

· Experience with Automated unit test (i.e., mocha, jasmine, karma etc., Mocking frameworks), Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behaviour-driven development (BDD) (i.e., Cucumber).

Business Acumen:

· Independent contributors that can take an ambiguous problem where business and technical strategy is understood but implementation is not defined and solve on their own.

· Deliver working features spanning full software development lifecycle from including working backwards from customers, software design and implementation, testing deployment, operations and documentations.

· Know how to balance constraints and ensure software produced can be maintained and extended.

· Train new team members on how to follow best engineering practices.

• Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members
