Wells Fargo Securities Research Associate Manager in Bengaluru, India

  • Supervise entry-to-mid level roles in the Global Research and Economics Group supporting Wells Fargo Securities tasks and processes to ensure timely completion, quality and compliance

  • Engage and influence partners across the investment groups and companywide to help establish investment strategy

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development

  • Research direction of industries, markets and companies

  • Make day-to-day supervisory decisions and resolve issues regarding client services, regulatory issues, and internal audit

  • Prioritize projects to meet business objectives

  • Interpret and develop controls and procedures for analytics and reporting

  • Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Securities Research

  • Be responsible for selection, evaluation, and development of staff

  • Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Securities Research experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 1+ years of Leadership experience

  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate from a premier education institute

  • Strong inclination towards building a career in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Capital Markets

  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders

  • Good understanding of Financial concepts and company valuation techniques

  • Strong logical, analytical skills and a systematic problem solving approach

  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Applications – Power Point and Excel

  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverables

  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

  • Results driven, accountable and ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

  • Work on various work streams that form key components of M&A Buy or Sells side deals and/or, Corporate Finance or Capital Market transactions

  • Assist in preparing Pitch books, including industry overviews, company profiles, management biographies, brokers’ outlook, share price performance, deal case studies, evolution of industry/peers valuation multiples, possible buyer/seller opportunities

  • Work on comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, buyer or target identification, company/M&A screening and sector updates and analyses

  • Work on financial analysis, industry benchmarking and valuation models

  • Develop an understanding of a sector’s key performance and valuation indicators and identify key industry and M&A trends and outlook impacting the sector

  • Develop excellent working knowledge of market database tools e.g. Fact set, Thomson one, Capital IQ, etc.

  • Interact with multiple stakeholders to achieve the desired goal

  • Preferable Industry experience in FIG, Real estate, Gaming and Leisure

  • Lead a team of REGAL aligned junior team members

  • Mentor/Train new joiners in team

  • Build and nurture onshore relationships at senior management
