Job Description

The Oracle Platinum Engineering and Delivery team is part of the Database group in Oracle. The team delivers innovative and secure software solutions that significantly enhance Oracle Platinum Services and also services from Oracle Support and Customer Success Services (CSS), formerly Advanced Customer Services (ACS). These engineering solutions include the Oracle Advanced Support Platform (OASP) and the Oracle Advanced Support Gateway (OASG) used in the delivery of services such as Platinum, Support Patching, Patch Assessment, Maximum Availability Architecture Reporting, Cloud at Customer and Oracle Advanced Management for Hybrid Cloud. The key goal of the team is to develop systems and tools to enable service delivery organizations to become more efficient and provide a higher quality of service through reduced human error, automation and improved customer experience. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Architect, Development, Product Management, Operations, Dev Ops) in-depth understanding of the requirements, architecture, designs (High and low level) and implementation. Collaborate with development teams during their sprints to build test cases and automation (functional UI and API) to test the developed software.

  • Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test and test scripts for software modules owned. Bring in new innovation to enhance and simplify and streamline the process of developing QA automation.

  • Manual & Automated QA Testing: Perform hands-on functional, integration, regression, security and performance testing and completely own the software modules its end to end use cases and workflows

  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to test standards.

  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous quality validation of the codebase.

  • Bug Tracking: Identify, log, and track software defects in collaboration with developers.

  • Test Documentation: Write detailed, clear, and concise test cases and documentation of test results.

  • Test Environment Management: Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot test environments, including databases and servers.

  • Test Metrics and Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on test progress, coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE, BTech) or Masters (MS) in Computer Science or related field.

Experience:

  • Total 12+ Years of IT industry experience in systems engineering(computing, telecom, infrastructure)

  • Proficient in test automation using Selenium, TestNG, Rest Assured and additional automation tools related to UI and API

  • Proficient in system testing with Linux environment

  • Proficient in scripting/programming languages (Java, Python, Unix Shell Scripts)

  • Experienced in using version control tools like Git.

  • Experience with case management systems such as Jira.

  • Experienced in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and other tools

  • Added advantage having experience with cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic international environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and passion for product quality.
