Oracle Principal User Experience Designer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

About Us

At Oracle, we’re committed to creating a state-of-the-art consumer-grade end user experience that will be the factor that distinguishes our software from the competition. We are building the bridge between cutting-edge technology and the everyday needs of citizens. And we can’t do it without your help.

We’re looking for exceptional Experience Designers to join our Design Team in Bengaluru . We need designers who think beyond product design, viewing solutions as integral parts of a broader system that can transform entire organizations and businesses.

As a Principal Designer driven by a passion for making a profound difference, you will lead the creation of a digital government solution. This is an incredible opportunity to influence how millions of citizens and businesses interact with their government via portals and mobile apps—by ensuring services are accessible, intuitive, and empowering. You’ll be at the forefront of creating a more transparent, responsive, and user-friendly government user experience, enabling citizens and businesses to seamlessly connect with essential services.

Your work will not only be about designing products, but also about transforming lives, communities, and the very foundation of how different levels of government operate. Your role, deeply rooted in human-centered design, will directly influence the quality of life for millions, fostering a more connected and engaged society.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Human-Centered Design principles throughout the problem-solving and solution-proposing processes

  • Adhere to established design processes while demonstrating the flexibility to adapt or create new methodologies as project demands dictate

  • Utilize Systems Thinking to comprehend complex interrelationships within organizational structures, going beyond traditional Design Thinking approaches

  • Apply critical thinking, diverse design methodologies, and creative problem-solving techniques to produce solutions meeting evolving requirements

  • Swiftly grasp core business needs, make judicious compromises, and prioritize content and data based on user requirements and technical constraints

  • Effectively present design solutions to senior team members and various internal stakeholders, articulating key decisions and user flows while emphasizing value propositions, business problem solutions, and user experience enhancements

  • Employ data-driven approaches, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative insights to build compelling cases for continuous improvement

  • Clearly communicate design alternatives, rationales, and trade-offs to stakeholders

  • Ability to tell stories of users and how solutions drive value for users and not a screen tour.

  • Foster collaboration with product and design partners, influencing leaders across product groups to adopt increasingly user-centered approaches in strategies, roadmaps, and planning

  • Work with cross-functional teams of Product Managers, Engineers, Test Engineers, Designers, and Researchers in a dynamic and agile environment.

  • Create high-quality UX artefacts that support comprehensive design solutions, ensuring proper implementation and user adoption

  • Organize and facilitate collaborative team activities such as design sprints, ideation sessions, and product discovery workshops

  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying timelines, complexities, and scopes

  • Passionately believe that a design or solution is not “done” until it is developed as designed, experienced by our customers, and validated through their feedback

  • Contribute to the enhancement of the Redwood Design Language and System

  • Mentor junior designers on the team
