Global Solution and Risk Compliance (GSRC) accelerates Amazon’s business growth and marketplace presence at scale and speed through its diverse global teams, using high quality solutions to solve regulatory and business problems.

CORS, a part of GSRC, develops automations that accelerate the work of GSRC associates by surfacing targeted information required for completing a task directly into their browser window. We improve productivity by decluttering information available across multiple systems and displaying the relevant ones for making a correct decision. CORS-Analytics develops business intelligence (BI) capabilities to uncover people, product and operational insights, thereby enabling GSRC in data-driven decision making. Our BI solutions (dashboards, reports, data pipelines etc.) allows GSRC to track the health of business operations across the organization. We perform complex analyses on relevant data sources to help our customers with strategic planning, uncovering of latent trends, identification and mitigation of risks.

Key job responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for complex and ambiguous business problems

• Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.

• Use data mining, data modelling, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain descriptive analytics reports to track key business metrics

• Conduct deep dive analyses of business problem statements and formulate conclusions and recommendations to leadership

• Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective metric development and reporting

• Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities

• Partner with Data Engineering to enhance data infrastructure, data availability, and broad access to customer insights

• Develop and drive best practices in data integrity, consistency, analysis, validations, and documentation

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

• Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)

• Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree

• Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design

• Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
