Primary Purpose
Responsible to lead campus tours to visiting prospective students. Provide assistance at student recruitment events.
Terms of Employment:
This is a temporary limited duration, part-time (<.50 FTE ) work-study position. Hours of work vary and average 2-5 hours per week.
Requires flexible work schedule.
Upon hire, must pass criminal history reference check; only information relevant to the position will be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct guided campus tours throughout the week
Conduct drop-in campus tours on an as-needed basis
Represent COCC during on-campus recruiting events (mandatory) such as Fall Preview Day
Assist with recruitment activities/programs including campus visitation programs and group tours
Assist with Bobcat Orientation during Fall, Winter and Spring Terms
Assist with Bobcat Advising and Registration during Fall, Winter, and Spring Terms
Assist with in-district high school visits
Assist in calling campaigns
Regularly interact with other COCC student leaders for events and activities
Attend staff meetings
Assist with social media
Attend Student Ambassador training
Attend Student Leadership Initiative
Perform other duties as they pertain to the overall objective of the position, as assigned.

Ergonomic Requirements
Work is performed during regular working hours. Ambassadors must give campus tours across campus, climbing stairs and walking for extended periods of time. Extended standing with occasional lifting between 10-25 lbs. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Must be able to climb or pull self upward and guide, feeding materials into proper position. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Currently enrolled COCC student in good academic standing
Intention of remaining full-time student during the 2024-25 school year
Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills and flexibility
Ability to effectively and positively represent COCC
