The Chief Estimator corroborates the development, review and accuracy of estimates while ensuring the adherence of preconstruction standards and processes. Your responsibilities will include: Managing, scheduling and training estimating personnel Ensuring the Preconstruction process, standards and tools are utilized Acting as the Pricing Lead when required Developing and reviewing estimates while ensuring estimate accuracy Participating in proposal win strategy Contributing to cost savings exercises Assisting with the construction schedule development Identifiying risk items and assisting with the Risk Register Development Assisting with the project construction budget Ensuring Preconstruction-Operations Turnover Meetings occur Assisting with Subcontractor and Vendor relationships Assisting with the Preconstruction Pursuit Cost Budgets Assisting with project procurement and buyout Collaborating with Preconstruction Leadership Collaborating and assisting the project operations team Participatomg in Preconstruction software development and maintenance Participating with Preconstruction Standards development Participating with the historical costs updates Other duties which may be assigned as needed Travel as required Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent and 10 years of estimating experience preferred or 15 years relevant experience in the construction industry.
