About the role

CBRE is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead, oversee and manage multiple projects for our Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Development projects throughout the Greater Boston area.

This is not a remote role; specific knowledge of Boston, MA design and construction life sciences or healthcare market is a benefit.

What you’ll do

Lead all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for multiple commercial, high end renovation projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.

Demonstrate capability to read, understand and apply standard to sophisticated documents affecting real estate projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawings.

Interface and be in direct contact with the clients to define project requirements. Prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, cash flow, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.

Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conducts standard request for proposals; completes bid analysis; recommends resources to clients.

Lead project delivery resources/team providing project mentorship and direction to achieve project goals. May provide informal assistance such as technical mentorship to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Crafts action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.

Implement change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assess change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.

Demonstrate ability to identify project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.

Demonstrate knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (larger economic implications, business risk, etc).

What you’ll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six years of related experience and/or training.

  • Progressive experience in design, engineering, or construction management within healthcare, life sciences, or labs is preferred.

  • A solid understanding of the commercial real estate industry in the areas of financial analysis, project management, construction, ethical practices, business operations, marketing, and business development.

  • Expert interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.

  • The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.

  • Proven experience leading multiple commercial real estate projects in varying stages simultaneously.

CBRE Carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this Life Sciences Senior Project Manager position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary for this Life Sciences Senior Project Manager position is $180,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental Insurance, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Vision Insurance.
