Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham has partnered with a local healthcare office in Bellingham to find a Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist to support their busy team. This is a temporary opportunity that starts right away and allows you to grow your skills in the medical industry.
Responsibilities & Qualifications Include:
- Process health records
- Scan documents into the electronic health record (EHR) within 72 hours of receipt
- Track paper records for review or signature
- Archive and destroy paper records
- Track lab and imaging orders
- Update patient flowsheets
- Respond to medical and behavioral health records requests from both internal and external customers
- Manage departmental and organizational communication lines
Maintain data integrity
