As a Senior Program Manager in Amazon's Last Mile Science and Analytics team, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing e-commerce delivery. Your role is pivotal in optimizing the final and most critical phase of our vast logistics network. Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Drive the product vision and strategy for last mile delivery optimization tools

• Collaborate with data scientists to translate complex algorithms into user-friendly products

• Gather and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders across Amazon's global operations

• Work closely with engineering teams to develop and launch new features and products

• Analyze product performance metrics and user feedback to guide continuous improvement

• Create and maintain product roadmaps, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals

• Communicate product updates and value propositions to internal teams and leadership

A day in the life

We are Amazon's Last Mile Science and Analytics team, dedicated to improving e-commerce delivery. We work to optimize our vast network, forecast demand using machine learning, and enhance route efficiency. Our efforts focus on developing innovative delivery methods, applying AI to solve complex problems, and conducting geospatial analysis. We create simulations to refine processes and plan capacity effectively. Operating globally, we strive to develop adaptable solutions for diverse markets. We aim to advance logistics science, continually improving speed, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, in support of Amazon's mission to be Earth's most customer-centric company.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience working cross functionally with non-tech teams

  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of complex, algorithm-driven products from conception to launch

  • Proven track record of using data analytics to drive product decisions, with expertise in SQL and data visualization tools

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and distributed systems

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Track record of cross-functional leadership and influence without direct authority

  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and experience leading agile teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of product management experience in logistics, supply chain, or related complex systems

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing machine learning models that have significantly improved large-scale operations

  • Experience with cutting-edge technologies such as reinforcement learning, federated learning, or quantum computing applied to real-world problems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
