DEPARTMENT

The SAP Database, Data Warehouse, and Data Management Product Marketing team accelerates the success of SAP products including SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and more. Each team member has one or more key responsibilities related to market strategy, deal support, field enablement, and/or ecosystem evangelism. Working closely with Customer Success and Product, the team strives toward the success of the data portfolio.

REPORTING

This role reports to the VP, Database, Data Warehouse, and Data Management Product Marketing.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Solution Specialist for SAP HANA Cloud, your initial focus is to develop as a subject matter expert in the cloud database domain. Expect to grow your knowledge of cloud database principles as you learn alongside database product marketing experts. In addition, develop influential communication skills that are necessary to amplify product narratives to internal and external audiences.

Product knowledge, marketing strategy, and the influential communication of product narratives are critical skills necessary for the successful execution of this roles responsibilities. This position is a rare opportunity to learn database technology as well as develop as a product marketer. RESPONSIBILITIES

Role expectations include:

  • Market Strategy: Research market economics, customer experience, competition, and revenue opportunity. Communicate results and insights to drive successful product innovation.

  • Field Enablement: Create compelling positioning and messaging by using personas for key buyer audiences. Develop customer facing assets. Ensure respective rollout and availability to execution teams. Recruit and create compelling customer success stories.

  • Ecosystem Evangelism: Serve as a public voice to the market. Support strategy/interaction with market stakeholders such as Analyst Relations, Public Relations, etc. Deliver influential narratives using presentations, social media, and other forms of digital selling techniques.

  • Deal Support: Support the field toward the successful close of deals involving SAP HANA Cloud.

REQUIREMENTS

A colleague starting in this role must have the following:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in technology, integrated marketing, and/or business field

  • Fundamental understanding of cloud, hosted services, and SaaS/PaaS/DBaaS models

  • Basic knowledge of database technology

  • Basic knowledge of marketing concepts

Compensation Range Transparency : SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 81000 - 137700(USD) USD.The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills,experience, scope ofthe role, location, etc. as determinedthrough theselection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
