Salary: $151,900/year - $200,200/year+ bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Duties:
Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming and software engineering. Produce high quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks. Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on-schedule by exercising strong judgement and problem solving skills. Master META development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity. Actively seek and give feedback in alignment with META's Performance Philosophy.
Requirements:
Requires Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Networking, or a related field of study.
Requires completion of a graduate-level course, research project, or internship in each of the following:
- Designing core, backend software components;
- Coding using primarily C/C++, Java, PHP or Hack;
- Interfacing with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa;
- Conducting design and code reviews;
- Establishing self as an owner of a particular component, feature or system with expert end-to-end understanding; and
- Successfully completing projects at large scope while maintaining a consistent high level of productivity.
