Amazon Senior Supply Chain Manager, Canada Inbound Supply Chain in Bellevue, Washington
Description
Amazon is looking for a highly analytical program manager to join the Canada Supply Chain team. Canada Supply Chain team is responsible for the long-term capacity and network architecture planning, as well as the short-term supply chain execution between Amazon’s sellers/vendors, fulfillment centers and downstream partners. As a Program Manager with Inbound Supply Chain (IB SC), you will have a holistic view of supply chain and demand within the Amazon fulfillment network. With the goal of serving our customers better, you will be integral part of diagnosing problems, conceive-build-implement solutions to drive efficiencies for strategic initiatives across inbound supply chain, thus optimizing inventory placement, speed and cost.
As a Program Manager, you will work in a fast-paced, fluid environment and communicate business conditions and decisions effectively with stakeholders across multiple groups and levels – from warehouse associates to various Amazon Directors and VPs. There will rarely be a perfect solution, so it will be up to you to seek out problems, dive deep into data, generate insights, deliver results that guide operational excellence through data-driven decisions and manage stakeholder relationships and earn trust of partner teams while planning and executing within an ever-changing environment. This role is a blend of short-term execution and long-term planning, that requires quick decision-making, with incomplete data, while also thinking big and influencing the strategic direction of the network.
The ideal candidates will have excellent analytical and statistical abilities, acumen and judgment, intense curiosity, strong technical skills, and written and verbal communication skills. They will have a strong bias toward driven decision-making. They will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail). Key job responsibilities
Demonstrate strong Customer focus
Make sound business judgments to drive both tactical as well as strategic improvements
Own programmatic execution and the detailed and strategic levels
Identify, prioritize, and implement processes to eliminate defects in the supply chain
Create, develop, and drive solutions that lead to a richer end to end customer experience
Execute thorough root cause analysis and deliver results
Successfully operate and influence in a cross-functional capacity
Data mine by leveraging SQL/Python to influence key business decisions
A day in the life
Develop and track CA Inbound Performance Metrics; Deep Dive to identify business drivers/ barriers and come up with viable solves, both for short-term and organic ones for the long-term; Draft White Papers for optimization projects; Collaborate with Network stakeholders in team meetings
About the team
The Canada Supply Chain team is responsible for the long-term capacity and network architecture planning, as well as the short-term supply chain execution between Amazon’s sellers/vendors, fulfillment centers and downstream partners. In doing so, Canada Supply Chain team deals with a great deal of ambiguity, to bring visibility and offer insights on key supply chain exceptions/ challenges in inventory Placement, needing a great deal of end-to-end ownership to look for solutions round the corner, and also imbibe best practices, created tools from mature networks such as EU and US.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
5+ years of supply chain experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
