Amazon Senior External Fulfillment Program Manager, PMO, North America External Fulfillment in Bellevue, Washington

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead our External Fulfillment third-party logistics (3PL) network expansion. This strategic role will shape how Amazon leverages 3PL partnerships to enhance our fulfillment capabilities with greater flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and faster market deployment. In this dynamic position, no two days are alike as you'll interface with multiple aspects of the business, from operations and technology to strategic planning and partner management.

Key job responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of strategic programs that enable Amazon's External Fulfillment organization to scale effectively through standardized processes, technology improvements, and successful 3PL site launches.

  • Drive standardization and change management processes across External Fulfillment operations, supporting 3PL scaling and new launches

  • Establish and maintain robust PMO processes, including project prioritization and stakeholder management

  • Develop and implement integrated support models connecting 3PL operations with Amazon's ecosystem

  • Lead critical technology improvements and cost optimization initiatives in partnership with internal/external stakeholders

  • Oversee new 3PL site launches and capacity expansion programs

  • Design and execute business review frameworks and governance structures

Note: Position might require up to 10-40% travel, primarily to 3PL sites.

A day in the life

As a Program and PMO Manager for External Fulfillment, you'll operate at both strategic and tactical levels to drive our 3PL network's ambitious growth. Your day might begin with addressing immediate operational challenges alongside 3PL partners, shift to leading cross-functional meetings on scalability initiatives, and end with developing long-term strategic frameworks. About the team

The External Fulfillment organization at Amazon manages our third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, including performance management across our network. Within this organization, you will join the North America External Fulfillment Strategy team, where we're responsible for the strategic direction, sourcing, and implementation of 3PL solutions. Our team's mission is critical to expanding Amazon's network capacity through innovative and efficient partnerships while ensuring seamless integration with our fulfillment ecosystem.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • 4+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Operational experience in Inbound, Outbound, ICQA, or Flow Control

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
