Principal Engineer-AI Science (Senior Engineer Consultant-Data Science) needed by Verizon in Bellevue, WA. DUTIES: Independently work on data science projects leveraging big data and deliver innovative technical solutions to solve problems and improve business outcomes. Work closely with machine learning engineers to deploy models in production both in real time and in batch process and systematically track model performance. Assist engagement with key business stakeholders in discussion on business strategies and opportunities. Be a subject matter expert on machine learning and predictive modeling. Drive technical innovation through active research and applications of new theories, techniques, and technologies. Apply deep learning and large language models to drive business growth and profitability.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business analytics, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 4 years performing the following:
- Machine Learning and Statistical Modeling;
- Data management and analysis in database and Hadoop;
- Python or R; and
- big data processing and analysis using Spark, and SQL.
