Nuclear Licensing Engineer TerraPower, LLC. is seeking to hire a highly capable and motivated Nuclear Licensing Engineer to be a part of the Molten Chloride Fast Reactor (MCFR) Licensing Team. This position reports to a Licensing Manager and provides licensing support for the MCFR advanced reactor project, supports development of licensing documents and regulatory engagements. Work will be in close consultation with Engineering and other Licensing staff and will ensure documents are created in accordance with TerraPower licensing strategy and guidance. This position also supports preparation and interaction with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission including pre-application discussions, preparing/reviewing Construction Permit and Operating License Application content, and preparing/reviewing topical reports. Responsibilities * Supports the drafting, authoring, and review of licensing documents including sections of a Construction Permit Application, Preliminary Safety Analysis Report, Environmental Report, Operating License Application, and Final Safety Analysis Report * Interface with the Licensing Team to complete licensing tasks * Coordinating with design personnel to ensure designs and design changes meet regulatory requirements * Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining licensing documentation in compliance with regulations and quality assurance standards * Interfacing with technical discipline teams * Preparing and reviewing technical material * Reviewing correspondence to and from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission * Key Qualifications and Skills * Bachelor's degree from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent experience * Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards. * Self-Starter with ability to manage deadlines * Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe * 3 or more years demonstrated, applicable experience in technical writing, nuclear licensing, quality assurance, project management, or comparable field * Strong communication skills with an emphasis on writing and interpersonal skills * The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork * Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications Job Functions Jo
