Cognitiv Corp in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Manager to develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. May create dynamic data reports.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

• Manage priorities and tasks for a team of machine learning engineers
• Develop the skills of junior machine learning developers
• Lead and execute meticulously controlled experiments, constructing datasets to evaluate feature performance rigorously, ensuring optimal model efficacy
• Collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams, leading the strategic production of features, encompassing deployment strategies and meticulous maintenance planning for seamless integration into operational systems.
• Be known as a subject matter leader and expert in the area of machine learning engineering
• Guide technical project objectives and deadlines
• Offer guidance in scoping and estimating individual work items, leveraging expertise to ensure efficient and effective project execution aligned with organizational goals.
• Implement and monitor technical strategy performance metrics
• Direct the work of machine learning engineers to ensure the best practices around software development
• Support, coach and develop high performing machine learning engineers through regular 1:1s, continuous feedback and relationships with others
• Constantly search for improvements in process, improve software delivery and operational processes
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional peers to set the direction of your team and develop your product roadmap

This position does not supervise the work of others.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or in any related STEM field of study plus at least two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, knowledge, and experience with the following:

• Utilizing one or more of the following machine/deep learning concepts: Linear/Logistic regression, decision trees or neural networks
• Experience within the big data ecosystem using the following: Spark, Fink, Hive and Presto.
• Experience within the Python data science ecosystem using one or more of the following: NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, or Jupyter.
• Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Scala, or C#
• Cloud Experience using AWS, Azure and GCP
• SQL

No travel. Hybrid Schedule in office three (3) days a week (Mon/Tue/Wed)
