Description
Amazon’s World-Wide Fulfillment By Amazon (WW FBA) organization is looking for an innovative, results-oriented, and strategic Finance Manager to partner with the WW FBA Product, Tech and Operations leadership team. This Finance professional will help steward our growth into this complex but fast-growing space as a strategic and operationally-minded leader who is not afraid of ambiguity and challenges the status quo.
The ideal candidate will shine in ambiguous situations, navigating between the details and big picture, playing a primary role as owner of some of our organization’s most visible mechanisms and artifacts (e.g., weekly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, annual operating plans, 3-year vision plans). They will partner with WW FBA Product, Tech and Operations leadership team to develop and drive operational processes (Business Reviews, Finance and Operations, Goal Management), people-driven programs, technical programs (ability to understand complex technology-driven initiatives and programs). They are able to influence successfully at all levels, think strategically, are a talented Finance Manager, strong organizer, take initiative, and operate effectively across many teams. This candidate sees around corners, is biased for action in ensuring the team is set up for success in achieving our goals.
Key job responsibilities
Overseeing financial reporting for your business area. Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe
Prioritizing Controllership, identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve, complex data integrity issues. You improve controls to address financial risk and support frugality
Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs. You make thoughtful judgment calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure
You listen attentively and communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Your communications drive critical business decisions
Collect and analyze data to develop insightful reports that drive business performance and cost reductions
"Have backbone, disagree and commit" to foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, resolve issues, and drive decisions
You are a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members and model operations excellence and efficiency

Fulfillment by Amazon is a service that allows independent businesses to outsource order fulfillment to Amazon, providing them a seamless experience to leverage our physical and technical infrastructure to serve customers across the world with fast delivery.
The team’s mission is to create a best-in-class experience for sellers to operate and grow their business on Amazon by equipping sellers with tools, features, and storage/transportation options to maximize their financial returns.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
