English Language Instructor, Part-time Faculty at English Language Institute (ELI) Job ID: 14402 Location: Bellevue College Full/Part Time: Part Time Regular/Temporary: Temporary Position Summary The English Language Institute (ELI), a department of the Arts and Humanities Division at Bellevue College, is looking for part-time instructors who will be responsible for teaching students in both the ELI University Preparation (UP) program and/or the ELI Academic Prep/Bridge program. This role is suitable for a qualified TESOL instructor with a master's degree in TESOL or a TESOL graduate student who is currently enrolled in an MA TESOL program and has some prior ESL teaching experience. Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule Adjunct Professors are typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment. The offer is contingent upon the availability of the courses. Quarterly remuneration for 5-credit lecture class is $6050.02 - $7375.17. Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement. Teaching hours: Monday- Friday in -person between the hours of 12:30pm-4:20pm.
