As a key contributor to T-Mobile's path to becoming a digital first company, this leader and their team will execute a comprehensive search marketing strategy that aligns with T-Mobile's business objectives and brand positioning - across all lines of business. The Director of Search Marketing is a critical role in the strategy of how T-Mobile shows up in the digital marketing space. This role supports paid search, search engine optimization (SEO), paid shopping, organic search, local search, media forecasting, and all search planning and forecasting. The Director will play a pivotal role in driving customer acquisition and retention through data-driven strategies and best-in-class search marketing practices. Job Responsibilities: Oversee the paid and organic search channels and be accountable for the roadmap and strategy to ensure we reach business objectives. Develop and execute content strategies that focus on creating high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly content that resonates with the target audience. Oversee +$300M in annual paid search & shopping investment. Address technical aspects of the website, such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, crawlability, and URL structure to ensure its search engine-friendly. Build an inclusive and equitable culture in which team members feel valued and are rewarded, retained, and developed in their roles and career paths. Lead and mentor a team of search marketing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Oversee and optimize T-Mobile's paid search campaigns, ensuring efficient budget allocation, keyword targeting, and ad copy performance. Drive T-Mobile's presence in paid search shopping platforms, such as Google Shopping, by managing product feed optimization and campaign performance. Manage Google My Business listings and local store directories. Develop and implement organic search (SEO) strategies to improve T-Mobile's search engine rankings and increase organic traffic. Manage local search initiatives, including store locator optimization and local directory listings to drive foot traffic and brand visibility at the local level. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital marketing, analytics, and product teams, to ensure synergy across various marketing channels. Stay updated on industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and emerging technologies to proactively adapt strategies and tactics. Monitor and report on key performance metrics, providing insights to the leadership team and recommending optimizations and improvements. Develop and manage the media forecasting process, ensuring accurate projections and resource allocation for search marketing initiatives. Foster vendor relationships with search marketing platforms, agencies, and technology providers to keep T-Mobile at the forefront of industry innovation. Work Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in search marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of developing and executing successful search marketing strategies that drove business results. Deep expertise in paid search (SEM), paid search shopping, and organic search (SEO) best practices. Strong understanding of media forecasting and budget management.
